So it looks like they will allow these as free downloads rather than bundling Windows Mail, Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker already installed. IMO a good move for those customers who don't want them and businesses. And they can probably just make shortcuts on the desktop so other users who wouldn't buy a better video editor can grab the download and install it. Then they can easily grab Movie Maker and not be discouraged.

Here's hoping they remove IE even though that is highly unlikely. :(

And you would be able to download the other Live apps, how? :p

This :P

How the hell do you download firefox or chrome without a browser to get there?

MS needs a stock browser silly!

Also, this is definitely a good move as now Windows can develop without worrying about those other apps, who can now develop on their own schedule instead of being rushed to be done before Win7 is done. They also can update them independently with the Wave's, so now you won't have "Windows Mail" and "Windows Live Mail" which is nice.

Finally, people begged for a slimmer Windows, so everyone is getting what they asked for.

I clicked this half expecting to pay $5 for Paint as a digital download.

They hear that and they might keep it separate but make you buy it off the shelf like other software. :O
But anyway, isn't the MS update feature in Vista separate from IE?
