I plan on furthering my art studies and majoring in some sort of art-involving field. So far, here are my pieces I find worthy of public eyes.

All of these are found on my blog, Twincow.

This is my current WIP, Bride of Cameroon:

Working with gouache on that one.

I don't know anything abou art, but, I know a LOT of art majors and the one thing they always ask people who are goin into the field is. What's your direction? all of these are different, they have no coherence and they all(no offense) look like they came out of a nightmare. (Except the swimsuit one.)

Just constructive criticizm.

I'm still searching for my direction, hence the different styles and subjects.

thats hardly constructive critism, sure he does need to find where he would like to apply his art.

But the fact that all of these are different is fantastic, it's great that you have mixed media and styles.

When they say "what direction" they are refering to what job would you like to apply this to in the future usually.

Seriously, its great that you keep your art different, otherwise doing the same style over and over again gets dull

That's the finished painting.

Btw...
sure he does need to find where he would like to apply his art.
Thanks for your comment but that better reads better as "sure she does need to find where she would like to apply her art."

oh hah, didn't know you were female, sorry

I love your style.

Got a Devart?

Really? Why? I find it a fairly good audience for what little talents I have.

The audience at dA isn't too particular about giving criticism and advice, just praise/hate comments. I went over to ConceptArt.org instead.

You said that you "plan on furthering" your skills through school, so does that mean up to this point you are all self taught?

Impressive work. I like them all.

Pretty much. This place doesn't really have a good base for learning art skills.

Well, if that was self-taught... incredible.

How long have you been drawing/painting/sculpting/arting? :O

I like them, nice style's. Why need a direction when you can draw it all?
