Some photography pieces! (non hl2 related)

I really like the GIVE WAY one
and doomsday..

I really like the contrast betweent he colour and the black and white with the GIVE WAY one, it draws your eyes, to an other wise obselete thing, I love it...

and If they are yours, can I ask permission to utilise your RIP photo for use within a graphics project please

;( <- take pity on the sad smily please ;(

nice, there are a lot there that i really like.
I take it your in the UK from being ntl, so where were these taken?
and what camera did you take them with?
thanks :D

Good use of seemingly boring motives.
There is though some pictures that could be just some ordniary holiday pictures with no focus, but still they do looks pretty nice.
"The Light" is damn good! ... what time of the day was this taken(I'm assuming daytime) .. how did you manage to keep the inside so dark
?

just noticed that you've got the X-men 2 dog tag from the frosties on you key chain (same as me :P)....

sorry, i'll be quiet now :(

very nice, what kind of camera you using there? I just got a fat paycheck and I am looking to get something digital. Any tips? I really want to be able to adjust everything about the shot, fstop and things of that nature mostly. Thanks.

Yup I'm in the UK, I have a sony dsc-p72 (3.2MP) digicam, I usually take aphoto after seeing something and a voice inside my head goes "that would look good on film" so I grab my cam and take a picture. They were all taken locally around teh area for the time being, I've only had the camera a solid week so not had time to really go anywhere further and my old digicam was really crap (1.3MP)

Some photos will look like generic ones but there's a reason behind those, I usually look back at them or use them as tests to see if something would work out and even if it looks half good I put it up anyway, I find putting those up with my best ones gives a good contrast on what ideas can be used in future ones if you see what I mean.

I kept the darkness and light levels constant by using the Night mode on my camera coupled with a high +EV setting and Spot metering as opposed to multi metering with infinity focus, this gives light areas a glow and dark areas a dark yet not so washy feel. It was taken at about 5 AM.

Check a few paragraphs up for camera make/model - It cost me £213 inc del from www.pixmania.com, it comes with a 16MB meory stick from sony and 2x AA 2100mAh rechargeable batteries and 6 hour charger which is nice. I bought an extra 128MB stick for £37 from ebuyer which holds 82Images at 2048x1536 at highest quality and 6 minutes of mpegVX video at 640x460 @ 25FPS

It's a really nice cam and even though I've only owned 2 digicams I really feel this is something worth having if you've not had a cam before or you have a lower quality/featured one. Manual settings are all there from ISO speed to exposure to special effects. if you are really interested in this then check out my other sample shots (same page linked) and read on Steves Digicam review site at

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/P72.html - This is the site I used to finalise my purchase which initially was a "Fuji 2800Z"

Cheers for all the comments folks and I hope the info above was all helpful!
