In addition to the fact that "HIND" is the name NATO gave to it.

Missiles get S names

Scud, sandal, skean, Sego, Scarp, savage, spanker, stilleto, satan, saber.

Fighter Jets get an F name.

Flogger, foxbat, fagot, fulcrum, foxhount etc

I belive the "N" Signifies the Navel verison.


I'll try and post pics when the Laney airshow and the Oceana airshow rolls around.

At one of the langley ones a few years back, there were some russin cargo haulers there, and I swaer that there were coat hangers int he cockpit holding things together,
