Some quick shots I snapped from the 3rd Teaser vid showing what is left of C17!

In the video, the smoke is swirling around the flaming citadel, which makes me think that the portal was already opened when Gordon destroyed the transport, and the portal is now stuck open and creatures can come and go as they please!

It would be quite interesting if the portal is indeed stuck open. Creepy to imagine that that swirl could be a gaping hole into the Combine homeworld. I'd have to play the last scene again to be sure, but I think you could see the portal close right before the explosion. Can anyone verify this?

Ever since I first heard of the Episodes plan, I new for sure it was an afterthought after HL2 was released...definately seems possible that Valve kinda started a new book loosely based on the previous...

Just that there seem to be some plot holes between Half Life 2 and Aftermath...how is it that the Gman puts you in stasis and does who-knows-what with Alyx, yet Aftermath takes place immediately after HL2...how could the Vortigaunts break through to the stasis field in a matter of seconds/minutes/hours?? How do Eli and Mossman survive the blast that wrecks the Citadel?

Just seems like Valve had a different plan than to do the Episodes taking place immediately after the end of HL2...perhaps HL3 would have seen Gordon liberating various other Cities, or returning to Black Mesa to somehow find a way to undo what happened? Or, who knows, maybe even fighting the Combine on their home planet??
