Im at the stage of my map, where i have all the models texturing done.. all i need to do is some minor tweaks and LIGHTING!..
I add a light_environement, and i run bsp/rad compile.. jump into my map, and what WAS a range of the lowest 55fps, now has a low of 30fps.. and a high of 60.... my map was running perfect with 100+ and 50+ in some high density areas.. Why is adding a light_env ruining my fps, my map isnt that big and i dont have that many phys props at all.. i have every room area portal'd nicely, and im lost as to why its dropping so low?
I have seen other maps bigger, and more phys props, so i know its not that.. if i buildcubemaps will that change it.
Please if you have some skills , or some advanced knowledge on this subject, please give me some advice.
