Somebody Please help

Please help if you can. I cruise through disc 1 and 2 only to get to disk 3 and get an error message that says Error 1305 from file C Programs/valve/steam/steam apps/base source shared sounds.gcf - - - Verify that file exists and you can access it. What in the heck is going on with this game?????

Any ideas on what to do? I tried switching drives, didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Windows xp? if so try going to start-> run-> type in %temp% and then delete all the files in there that it will let you delete. could be a temporary memory issue if so deleting temp should help. also it could be the bad sound files people are ranting about causing the freezing and glitching in the game.
