I just went to slashdot.org and there was a HL2 ad on top of the page, first showing City17 and a Combine with some smoke puffs coming out of his gasmask. After that, it changes to a picture of the G-man eyes - there's something creepy about them. If you look at the ad and focus on his eyes, you can clearly see that his iris (the greenish/blueish) part is slowly fading between light and dark. It gave me the creeps for a moment when I realized this was intended - it was there the second time I watched the ad.

Anyone else seen this elsewhere, or someone care to explain / theorize?

It's called 'spice up your ad with all kinds of effects'.

WoW!

Didn't see that ad, cool stuff!

That combine mask with the gas coming out is sweet :p

even the birds in the ad are cool. they look like fun in the game.

It's at the top but you have to keep refreshing :p

If the theory/rumor/speculation that G-Man and Gordon are the same person I will kill gabe for made the most stupid plot in the history of games. :flame: :flame: :flame: :sniper: :frown:

Gabe didn't write it.

I think it's far too illogical for the G-Man to be Gordon. But if it turned out to be the case, I wouldn't mind so long as it was done effectively, they had some way of making sense of it, and I feel satisfied with it.

I just know they'll cover it up by saying that a toy hammer created a warp in time.
