I have a mediocre computer, so I've never ran my Anisotropic Filtering higher than the recommended Trilinear setting. However, I noticed today that I can run it all the way up to 16x AF with barely ANY performance hits whatsoever. Go ahead and try it out, you might be surprised at the results.

Just thought I'd share the wealth.

Yeah isnt it usually Anti Aliasing that causes the huge performance hits.

umm it prob. dosent have a preformance hit because ur card cant go that high on AF whats ur card?

Radeon 9500 Pro (OC'd to be 9700 Pro equivalent). It can definitely support that high, because I notice the difference, and it's a DX9 card.
