how come it's so clear in this map, i mean can the admin twick it ?? or just something wrong with my css, cuz this map is supposed to be much darker.

mat_fullbright 0

if that doesnt work then it means that the admin of the server is using mat_fullbright 1 on all the clients. (you need sv_cheats enabled for this) if that doesnt help it then its some other problem apparently :-/
