But, given that it is by far the most successful game of all time and recreating it's environment will be extremely easy, it's crazy not to try from a financial standpoint.

They should get Charlie Kaufman to write it, i think he's the only one who could do anthing with this.

Haha...yeah Kaufman is one of the few people that could maybe take such an idea and make a fantastic movie out of it.

I... what i seriously don't understand, no one's even ganna go to that even though it's called "The Sims movie", everyone knows that is going to be shit. Did they actually get a guy with down syndrome to come up with this idea?

Eh the sims fanbase is kind of like..the second life fanbase. They'll eat the movie up and regard it as the greatest movie ever created. ever.
 
They should turn it into a short, wacky indie movie, complete with subtitles - film it all in simlish. Then I'd consider seeing it :D

But you know it's just gonna be Desperate Housewives: the Movie, so **** it.
 
This movie should be done by David Lynch, and be complete with Sim-lingo, randomly appearing objects, and at least one part where someone is trapped in a doorless room and starves to death.

If they don't make it that way, then I will.
 
Actually, you could make a great wacky comedy of this. Random people get stuck in a random neigbourhood. They try to get out of there, but a mysterious power keeps on stoping them. I can already see it: all doors and windows in a room start dissapearing. A guy jumps for the last window, only to hit a solid wall.

But, yeah, the idea's retarded.

Yeah, I've thought about that too. The way I see it, it's going to be a combination of The Truman Show and The 13'th Floor. I liked both those movies, but I still think this movie is an insanely bad idea...
