This thread is dedicated to those songs you've had on repeat for hours on end while you sobbed hysterically over that girl/boy/whatever, etc. List yours!

Smashing Pumpkins - Mayonnaise
Counting Crows - Long December
A New Found Glory - First Kiss (yeah, in retrospect, I'm fairly ashamed of this, don't ask - but I ended up marrying her )

Guns 'n' Roses - November Rain - makes me cry every time.

The Libertines - Albion/Arctic Monkeys - Bigger Boys And Stolen Sweethearts

"How To Disappear Completely" by Radiohead
"Alberto Balsalm" by Aphex Twin
"A Beautiful Place Out In The Country" by Boards of Canada
"Everything You Do Is Balloon" by Boards of Canada

And when I saw "Hurt" performed live by Nine Inch Nails, I cried like a baby.

Most of the time, however, I've been under the heavy influence of alcohol. Otherwise, I just get pretty teary.

sinead o conner - nothing compares to you ...gawd tht song is sad n depressing!

A Warm Place by Nine Inch Nails. I don't know why, but it hits me hard.

The Luckiest and Late by Ben Folds, and How To Disappear Completely & Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. I Wanna Be Adored by The Stone Roses made me cry for silly fun reasons, too.

Fields of Gold-Don't know who
Reminds me of my dead grandfather

Hah, that's so true. Really is. But I wish I had, because I've been so damn moved by some tracks.

Here's some that got me pretty close there though:

Boards of Canada - Amo Bishop Roden
Store N Forward - Bering Straight (Zilent Zpotti mix)
Chicane - Early
Bad Loop - Her Wings of Wax
Hanz Zimmer & Liza Gerrard - Now we are Free

Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones
Creep - Stone Temple Pilots
Midlife Crisis -The Ministry
Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
My December - Linkin Park
Dust in the Wind - Kansas

After a while, all those songs make me break down. They'll keep me in a bad or sad mood if I'm in one, except Dust in the Wind... that song cheers me up from a bad mood and puts me into one if I'm not.

I don't put a 'sad' or slow song on when I'm sad anyway. But I can't say I'm ever really that sad or teary alot anyway. The times I have been sad over some silly girl or whatever I've usually just continued playing music I play every other day.

Yes, I am. That song makes me think of the day my grandmom died. "No colors anymore I want them to turn black". When I found out about it, I felt like my whole world around me just collapsed. She was my favorite person in the world ;(

Some soft songs/instumentals by Nine Inch Nails tear me up when I listen to them at the right time (La Mer, A Warm Place, Adrift and at Peace) and others (Non Entity, Terrible Lie (live), The Day The World Went Away, and somtimes All The Love In The World -- for some reason).

I found Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt very emotional and...well...hurt. The way he sings it...its like he's about to die soon (you know, before he actually died). Makes me sad.

Two Headed Boy Part 2-Neutral Milk Hotel
Take Me Somewhere Nice-Mogwai
Staralfur-Sigur Ros
Mechanical Birds-Modest Mouse

I just listened to it and found the opposite... :/

I'm aware of his situation at the time, but i still think Trent does it with more feeling... just my opinion anyway.

On topic, i havn't properly cried at songs, but i've come near with NiN - Hurt and Athlete - Wires as well as Radiohead - How to Disappear Completely

After finishing the Beatles Anthology, I listened to Because by The Beatles and it made me get a lil tied up

And yes, it is sad that I cried over the break-up of a band from the 60's

Roy Orbison - Cryin
Barry Manilow - The Old Songs
Andre Brocelli dude - Time To Say Goodbye = damn oprah...
Quarterflash - Harden My Heart
Jimi Hendrix - Bold As Love

didnt cry but came close
dido eminem song about the suicide or w.e

Untitled - Simple Plan.

Rofllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

whisky lulluby... if i've written that correctly... makes me think of someone i never told how much i cared about... now she's gone and i'm loosing hope in finding her...

Two do it almost every time:

Mothers of the Disappeared - U2
Don't Give Up - Peter Gabriel

Nirvana - Kurt's Suicide Note...read by Courtney Love.
If you can even call that a "song".

If not then... Johnny Cash - Hurt and NIN - Hurt and Athlete
Never cried to any song, they just made me feel like it.

I guess High Hopes by Pink Floyd makes me a little... meh-sad. But I'm more happy when listening to that than sad 'cause its an awesome song.

EDIT:

Thinking about it, yes, this does make me a little sad, too.
