my sony dvd writer wont read my hl 2 dvd (or any other dvd for that matter). sony offered no help/support apart from their latest model dvd rw's, and i couldnt find any drivers so i presume the xp plug and play drivers are sufficient (the drive reads cds and burns dvds).
ive tried setting the region in the properties but i get the error 'no region (1/2etc) media in drive or no admin rights'
my pc is running fine, the dvd drive is set to slave (with a 52x cd rom drive) but this doesnt seem to be the cause as it reads cds and writes dvds...
my system is an nforce 2 board, radeon 9200 256meg, sempron 2600 and 512 ddr ram running on xp pro
oh, and the hl copy is legit so its not an anti piracy thing
i cant think what the problem could be, any help appreciated
