is cuz dam if I am buying that I hope it be better that just playing good games and using it as a mirror

Right now there's not a whole lot out except for Resistance, which is a very good FPS game. Pretty soon though you'll have MGS4, Drake's Fortune, and Ratchet and Clank. Those are the games I can think of off the top of my head that I know will be great buys. The others that look very promising are Warhawk, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo 5, Getaway, and Killzone 2. Then you also have the teams that made Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, etc. making games exclusively for PS3.

Overall I think the PS3 easily has the best lineup of exclusives, especially if you already have a good PC (most 360 "exclusives" tend to be PC ports).

That's because Microsoft "owns" both platforms. The tools and SDKs are also extremely easier to convert between console and PC since it's essentially the same technology.

Honestly, I wouldn't consider buying a PS3 until MGS4 comes out, if it doesn't come to X360 first that is.

I am not asking about the games,I amasking about the mahcine itself

i hate all of the trailers that the devs make. like motorstorm. i mean they did a render as a trailer and it looks like shit in game. Flatout 2 looks better then that.

Ok ... but it doesn't really matter what the reason is. There's not much of a reason to own BOTH a high end PC and a 360, as they get mostly the same games. Personally I think the best combo is a PS3 for multiplatform console games and original exclusives and a high end PC for almost all the good 360 games and its' own original exclusives. The 360 doesn't have too many true exclusives when you include the PC into the equation.

But on the other hand, how many people can really afford to shell out $600 for a PS3, and then another $1500-2000 for a high-end system? In fact, the PC would cost even MORE, since the average consumer will just go and buy a Dell instead of building their own computer.

IMO the 360 has better exclusives, but you should check them out yourself to see which system has the better ones for YOU. Then again, there's also the fact that a lot of games that used to be PS3-exclusive are now moving cross-platform, so buying a PS3 for future exclusives right now isn't exactly a wise investment.

At 1st i didnt like my PS3, but ill have a ton of fun with it now. Playing old PS2 games in HD and just messing around with the system as a whole.

Since no one's mentioned Yellow Dog yet, I will.

Yellow Dog Linux is being released for free for the PS3. Which means your PS3 will be, for all intents and purposes, a computer. And not too shabby a computer for $600. Besides, the sheer possibility for user modifications based off of Yellow Dog is amazing.

sorry for bring this up again but I heard that the ps3 games cant be pirated,is that true?

Everything can be pirated, some things just take longer than others. :/

its true, its like hacking, you can never stop people from doing because they will always find ways of doing it.

one thing for sure is that honestly the idea of buying the ps3 kind of depress me,is still very expensive especially here so dam

RJMC, if you're not certain, don't buy it. Why people run out and buy a console simply because it's a PlayStation baffles me....or any console for that matter. Make them earn your business. IMO, the PS3 has utter rubbish on it currently and costs too much. That's reason enough for me to avoid it like a scorching case of herpes. At $600, Sony has a lot to prove. Again, make them prove it to you.

well I got a reason to buy and that reason is mgs4 and similiars,is not that I am buying it for the heck of it

the only problem is price

If you're buying it for MGS4... wait until MGS4 is released. There's no sense buying a PS3 for a game that won't be out for months (or is it years, I can't remember), since by the time that game is out, the PS3 will be cheaper.

I would wait a bit to get one. I waited with the 360 until they started getting some really enticing titles (Dead Rising) until I purchased it, and by that time the console had ironed out a few bugs. Now I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I think it would be wiser to wait until they iron the bugs and get some good games before committing to buy.

MGS4 was rumored it might be released on the Xbox 360 too. Atleast, it was rumored the Hojima's employees were pressing him to do so

You should consider youself lucky considering it could of cost 1400 dollars

well consider the price to import it here and stuff,a playstation3 here cost the same as a used old vw beetle, and thats not good for my ears
and off course I may buy it when mgs4 or another great game come out however thats not mean I could afford it

and if mgs4 comes to 360 them sony is ****ed
