sooooo slow :(

I got 8mb cable bur since yesterday , steam and other games tell me I have a ping of 200+ D: WTF? I checked for spyware and all but I dont have none,Im using and ehternet cable from the modem to my PC,I left my PC off all day,but that didnt help either



WHAT CAN I DO??

Right click on steam >> settings >> internet tab


Make sure your internet speed is set correctly, other than that I don't know

I set it to DSL speed now its I have a ping of 60...but when I got cable I had 12....
