About 1 1/2 miles thata way. No, seriously. The G8 Summit is being held in a tiny little exclusive hotel pretty close to my house. My friend lives on the same road as it. As a result, roads are closed from midnight tonight, but it's still pretty cool for my tiny little area to get something like this. Oh, and my phone number is something like 1 digit off the number of the hotel it's at, so we've been getting a few more wrong numbers than usual. There's a fair few protests I think as well, which could get annoying after a bit.

I asked my Mum's friend who works there to get me a few autographs, but no such luck :p

So, any discussion on the G8 should go here now I've had my cake.

I believe that one of the issues on this summit's agenda are the tackling the poverty in Africa, no?

Yeah, I think that's what we're trying to focus it on anyway.

They probably resolutely stated to make decisive choices over promises that ought to be made on the state of affairs within the summit on the condition of Africa.

The g8 is all the opowerfull capitalist countries, joiing together to exploit the poor and get richer themselves, IMO.

Do you actually know what it is, or are you just against any form of government?

Hmm, I disagree. Personally, I think they decided that it was important to pursue progress on all fronts by promoting forward movement on a variety of issues, and to keep a dialogue open to ensure that the necessary measures are carried out in due process.
