ok ive just read my mobo manual an it says i hav 5 pci slots and one agp x8 slot. i then looked at my system info and it said that my fx 5200 was in a pci slot so i guess that means i have to get the pci version.

by the way i have a am amd athlon 2800 + 2.08 ghz asrock mobo and my manual says there are 2 types k7s8x or k7s8xe which i have no ideas about . the only thing i am worried about no is will i have enough power to use it coz ive heard you need some internal power for top range cards.

no, that is PCI-express, not normal pci, get the agp version of the 6800 gt or x800 pe (i think those are the top ones for 6800 and x800)

dont know how can i find out without opening up me comp

Ok.
1. Your curent card is in PCI slot, just like a sound card would be. You won't find a modern card for that slot.
2. Your mobo is ASUS as I understand with AGP 8 port, which is OK.
3. You need a 6600Gt AGP ($229) or Ati 9800 Pro (around $180).
4.here is a link to 6600gt AGP card at Newegg, the best place to buy hardware.

6600Gt is about 10-20% faster than 9800pro and overclocks well.

400w should be OK. And open the case, there may be a lot of dust :imu: which needs to be cleaned.
