I'm thinking of building a new system myself and one major problem is that I don't have any idea which sound card I should get. I have few knowledge on sound cards and speakers etc but I do know my Sony NUDE earphone works great with my old Creative SB Live! card :]......
1. Do you guys have any suggestions on new sound cards?
2. Any good model for earphone-only users?
3. Do 5.1 cards do better with earphones than mine?
4. Considering gaming with those enviromental effect, do you think 5.1 speakers provide a more accurate "sense" of where the sound comes from?
5. Should I just give up using earphones and buy a 5.1 sound system?
