I was having really bad sound skipping problems that were driving me crazy for a few of my games:
(The Chronicles of Riddick, Mavis Beacon Typing, Morrowind)
Well today I thought of a solution, and it worked!
All I did was disable my soundblaster, and enable the onboard sound. It takes only a second to do from the control panel (device manager). IT WORKED! No more skipping on these games!
I have the new SoundBlaster MP3+ its an external device with analog and digital (fiber optic) connections. I love it alot, its very clear and clean.
It was hard to find a sound card that supports 2 channel stereo (it also supports 5.1 and 7.1 and EAX)
I have my computer hooked up to 2 12" Cerwin-Vega floor speakers 100 watts per channel Kenwood.
The software that came with it is great( 12 band equalizer, sound recorder, video player (with repeat so short movie clips loop.)
Anyway nothing in PC world is 100% compatable, so if you have games that skip... here is your solution if you have an onboard sound option.
