Sound oddity!

Last night, my sound wouldn't work. I have an onboard sound card. I unplugged my speakers and plugged them into the side plugs for headphones and such, and they worked. I plugged them back in last night and went to bed. This morning, I started up Prey, and sound worked...

Now it doesnt. I'm confused.

Hmm, it's working now.

I'm SO confused.

sound card might be dying, but you can try reinstalling your sound card drivers and motherboard drivers. if that doesnt work you might need to buy a sound card.

My brother had to disable his front audio ports for his onboard sound to work properly. He plugs into the back using speakers.

Well, now it's weird, I reinstalled my audio drivers, well, my rear speakers don't work. Granted, my 5.1 surround NEVER worked..but this time, anything from the rear, I don't really hear it. Sucks for close FPS like FEAR...as a matter of fact, seems it only happens in FEAR. D:
