Sound problems/friends network problem

1.) When im playing cs or cz players will talk threw there mic and i will lag each time they are talking, this happens most of the time, i dont know if it has anything to do with my sound card (SB Audigy Audio [9000]) or what but its annoying i got dsl as my connection i dont know why i lag

2.) ever since i got cz and installed the steam that came with that i will try to add a friend to my list and it will go threw the first time but i cant see them online or in a game, i can talk to them but thats it, and if i disconnect out of the network and go back in no ones on my list its blank.

For number one, I think it has something to do with audio in Options. I think you should put it either highest, middle, or lowest on recieve so either you want to hear or not, lag or not. HOpe this helps
