Sound Problems

Right... It all started earlier today when we had a power outage. When the power came back my sound diddn't work... so i thought ok then this is normal ill just pop the soundcard in and out of my computer, right so i did that then restarted but it still diddn't work. Then i changed over to my onboard soundcard (A7V8X, AC97) and it's working fine BUT my rear speakers aren't working in winamp, when i test them in the software thats for the onboard soundcard they work but when i play music in winamp they don't, they did work with my pci soundcard (Audigy player). Anyone got any clues? I've tried to fiddle with alot of options but haven't figured it out yet.

XP 1700+@2083mhz
512mb pc2700 ddr
A7N8X Deluxe
Hercules Radeon 9700 pro
Audigy player
Creative 4100 speakers (4.1)

This is pretty typical but music is stereo...unless the card copies the front sound and reproduces it to the rear it shouldn't be surround sound.

I know, but i want it to be surround , I like th fake surround.
