I've been trying to get my A7N8X soundstorm working in 5.1 with HL2, but so far, it hasn't been doing 5.1 sound even when the nvmixer and HL2 is set to 5.1. It's more or less been shadowing a 2.0 source over all speakers. I've been using my audigy w/ headphones for now (speakers don't support 5.1+ analog or non-Dolby Digital SPDIF), but would prefer to use my speakers of course. Anyone had any luck? It worked ok on HL based games (I know, nothing like hl2 code-wise and engine-wise) and other games, but not HL2. And yes, I set everything up correctly (AC3 input on my receiver, sound from all speakers in the Nvmixer setup).
