The idea of this thread is post some music tracks/albums you have in your memory associated with different bits of your life.

For instance:
R.E.M. - Automatic for the people, when I listen to this album I remember myself in bed in Ireland, that day I had just climbed this mountain in torrential rain, it was so extreme.

R.E.M. - Electron Blue, driving back from some crappy city in Spain last summer holiday, was in a pretty reflective mood.

Micheal Buble - Moondance, my mate played this non-stop at my last school residential trip a couple of weeks before we all went our separate ways. I really like that song.

Bob Dylan - No Direction Home the Soundtrack, all last year, lol

The Fray - How to save a life (album) last years summer resi at liverpool uni, I listened to that album non stop allong with some Milburn tracks I had courtesy of ComradeBadger.

Touch and Go - Would you, I can't pin point where I first heard this song, but I heard it recently and it really took me back, to where I'm not sure, but it's definitely one of my favorite songs of all time.

R.E.M. - Nightswimming, I first discovered this wonderful song whilst waiting for a delayed plane to Amsterdam, after that a year later I played it whilst swimming in our swimming pool whilst at a villa in Spain at like 2 AM.

Ah, memories made from music. I have a few.

Mogwai - the Mr. Beast album. Driving across Iceland all day, watching the barren, bleak and desolate landscape go by for hours on end, with the tall, snow capped mountains stretching for miles to the left and to the right nothing. Just... nothing at all, just a huge plain of open land, the only objects being a long line of electric pylons inthe far distance. It was beautiful seeing this and listening to Mogwai.

Isis - the In The Absence of Truth album. Travelling to London to see my familys mate. Long, 3 hour journey from Wolverhampton and the previous night I had aquired this album and man, were those 3 hours great.

The Devin Townsend Band - the Synchestra album. Both London and Iceland for this one, as I listened to it non-stop in London the nights before and then alot in Iceland. Such a fantastic album, deffo a favourite from last year. I couldn't get enough of the first 3 tracks.

Anthrax - Back when I use to love metal, at Download 05, all we played during at our campsite was Anthrax. In preperation for the Saturday afternoon were we all trooped off to catch them live, it was pretty much just Anthrax all weekend. Great fun.

I'll have a think.

ghostbusters theme - reminds me of watching ghostbusters

green day: Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - times with an ex gf about 2 years ago to the day.

Aqua: Turn Back Time - back in the days of tomb raider 2!!

Geogaddi
When driving through the worst parts of Flint.

Music Has the Right to Children: playing DOD (weird eh), driving. Beats Geogdaddi for driving. D:<

Hmmm....

Oasis: Whats The Story Morning Glory - reminds me of the 4 years in Malaysia when i was 8 onward.

U2: How To Dismantle And Atomic Bomb - driving from Johannesburg to Cape Town in South Africa with my dad, averaging 163 km/h over the 11.5 hour journey. Good fun.

Radiohead - Karma Police : drunk

Radiohead - Idioteque : stoned

Liquid Tension Experiment - When the water breaks : cardio training

The Jimi Hendrix Experiance: Purple Haze: Even though its a song about drugs, reminds me of the times when im really drunk

Band of Gypsies - Who Knows: When im practising karate at home or in the dojo, the beat goes perfectly with it.

Muse - The Museum: First year in college, it was crazy.

Muse - Hypochondriac Music: The first few months after my brother died.

Lost Prophets - Summer Time: Ironically, reminds me of last summer after my AS levels were done, best summer I have ever had.

Leftover Crack - At Reading 2006 we had **** World Trade on a lot at our campsite, I remember being high as a kite and just rocking the **** out.

Manowar - Back in the day whenever me and my buddies went to parties we would commandeer the CD player and drunkenly sing along to Brothers of Metal at full volume. Great times.

Muse - Origin of Symmetry always makes me really depressed. I listened to it a lot a few years back when I was going through bad times.

Finntroll - Trollhammeren = Joygasm

If I had to tap out a soundtrack to my life, it'd be a few thousand lines long.

the killers hot fuss reminds me of good times

believe it or not, the marshall mathers lp reminds me of good times aswell

maximo park - a certain trigger and the kooks - inside in inside out remind me of the summer just gone. good times

anything by the smiths reminds me of my college days...as does the song frontier psychiatry by the avalanches

errrm jack johnson songs breakdown and good people remind me of crap times but oddly, i listen to them now and they make me feel better

when i listen to almost anything by barry white it reminds me of going on trips in summer with my family

listening to the cedar room by the doves reminds me of walking around town with it on its loudest on my mp3 player and thinking i could do anything

theres just too many memories associated with songs to list them here. music is an important part of life

Usually the more depressing songs is easier to associate with my life, that is of course because happy times are to awesome to be sung in a song, and the fact I remember depressing stuff more then I do happier stuff. Happy stuff just flys by in time

I'd have to say NIN - Right Where It Belongs

I'm a paranoid kid

So many songs have told the story of my life. Coulden't name them all. Usually it's 70's rock music that I can really relate my life to.

i think the song 'perfect day' by lou reed kind of reflects my life at the minute...and not in a 'i'm doing smack' sort of way if thats how you take the song, i mean a melancholy time of life....not happy, not sad. . .just a bit grey

thats how i take perfect day anyhow...kind of numb and hopeless
