Soundtrack...

I loved the soundtrack for HL2. Very suspenseful and quiet most of the time, but when the music kicked in, you knew shit was about to go down.

However, I noticed that Episode 2 was by far my favorite as far as the music went. I learned how to extract the songs from the gcf files, and I've been listening to them for a couple of days now.

Question is - are these even commercially released? Im guessing these arent on the HL2 soundtrack, and I'm also guessing there ISN'T an HL2E2 soundtrack, right? All I could find was the normal HL2 OST.

So, then my question is, is there any way to find out the names of these songs? "song 22" and "song 27" are really cool. I always had a weakspot for guitar-based techno.

I think an Orange Box CD was released (and it contained the Half-Life 2 sountrack as well from memory).
You could download the Audiosurf demo to find out the proper names, though I think it would require some guess and check.

yeah, the orange box soundtrack is on amazon for 8 bucks, pretty cheap.
