Source game problem overall

I have been getting this problem since css, and any other source games. Whenever I am near another player, I start skipping, when im near a wall, I start skipping. Its not FPS skip, its more like motion skip, going back and forth while moving, making it hard to move in close door environment, and IMPOSSIBLE to melee. Solutions?

Naw, i get perfect frames until i run into someone, or a wall, or another object.

My specs are 2.27 ghz 1.25 gig ram 9800 pro.

try turning down textures & model texture. Also set AA on 2x, i used to get crazy stutters, but i did the aformentioned & now get zero stutters

As i said before, it is not a fps problem, the view shifts back and fourth when im moving near another player, object or a wall. no fps loss, none, 0 zip, nada.

Single Player and Multi Player?

If it only happens in multiplayer then it is your latency which leads you back to the second reply:

I never said it was your FPS. I said it was lag. Most gamers know lag as a latency problem, not a graphics problem..

im thinking if it was latency problem, it would effect overall, not just when in touch with other players, walls and objects?

First thing coming to my mind is an error in the physics processing. Throw a rifle at the wall and se if something happens. Walk over some moveable objects.

Also, I do not comprehend what you mean by skipping if there is no frame loss.

I've had what he's talking about before, but it only happens on laggy servers.

You stand behind someone walking, you hit their hitbox, but they look like they're several feet in front of you...

Internet LAG can also effect ur FPS pal, what connection r u on? Maybe play on 24 or less player servers, scan ur system for spyware,adware,malware & viruses. AVG Free, SpyBot Search & Destroy & Ad-Aware are all good free programs for this.

PS do u get lag in any other online game?

internet lag doesnt effect fps at all i mean it cant, but fps can effect internet lag or at least a slow computer.
