Source SDK Problem

Recently I got interested in learning how to make a mod. I decided to download Source SDK from steam. I started it up and it said "Preparing to launch Source SDK" like with most Steam applications. But then all of a sudden a message comes up saying "SDKlauncher.exe has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly,". I have Windows Vista so I'm guessing it might be something to do with that. I have tried Unstalling it and Installing it, still same message. Just wondered if anybody got the same problem and if there is a solution.

Edit: Please help I really want to learn how to mod.
