I can almost hear Numbers fapping to this display of authority and military style uniforms

that's a good skill to have when your job is keeping the peace

mind over matter right? if a guy busts 20 pieces of granite(?) with his head, your not gonna wanna **** with him.

wtf? just looked through those pics, why is he breaking beer bottles? such a waste.

And yet they can't deal with a few people wielding improvised flame throwers.

Or from all the pictures numbers has posted, they don't seem to be able to deal with mobs, period.

^^^ this. they seem to be the asian version of the keystone cops

well atleast he could give a painfull headbutt

I wonder what the Pittsburgh police would've done for the G20 summit last year if they had these skills. It was ****ed up enough as it was

people wont protest like in pitssburgh I bet ya

These tricks don't help at all under demonstrations or riots.

Half of it is badass tricks, the other half is dealing with a mock-mob. I have no complaints, they look like badasses.

I like how convincing the mock protestors are.

I hope they're training to bash in some hippie skulls

I would like to see a SK police officer headbutt a hippie while wearing his riot helmet

I would like to see the SK police successfully defuse a riot.

i would like to see the SK police defeated by PEACE AND LOVE

Defuse != firebombs everywhere and several officers getting punched in the face :p

But yeah, a significant amount of the time I think the riots are suppressed.

Yeah, they even made their own signs.
Or maybe the signs were a part of the training in the first place? Maybe the officers need to have a Pavlovian reaction to that kind of thing.

"People Not Profit? How dare you?!! I'm going to smash you in half with my forehead!"

Those were some Enter the Dragon moves - except that one flying shit was in The Matrix, I think. Perfect for keeping the peace. Hippies FTW. Completely unrelated, but I'd like to see hippies and yuppies face off.

Uh, doesn't that happen every single time? Because, you know, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

...... because the rioters would have overrun the city and put everyone to the sword?

Well yes, what other reason would they riot for other than the complete and total destruction of civilized life as we know it?

for shits and giggles; they gotta be at work monday morning like everyone else

Undercover police have been caught sparking some riots, including some G20 summits. There used to be some articles about it, but Google searches only seem to bring me to Copy-Paste Blog posts from Infowars these days. :/

Provocateurs in montebello wear the same shoes as the quebec policemen who arrest them! (aka: cops are dressed as demonstrators and try to start up violence in Montebello, Qc 2007-08-20)

Though I guess that doesn't exactly answer your question, moreso a possibility to some cases. :( The protests are anti-globalisation, generally, AFAIK.

Though TBH I remember images of how ****ing badass Korean riot-police look. The Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) was used during the Pittsburgh G20 summit:

English comes after Spanish, this LRAD doesn't actually sound as bad as some other ones in videos. more like a car horn than the actual LRAD in operation - but I'm sure you can find them if you want to hear it for yourself.

Automated warnings + Badass Korean Gas Mask Soldiers = HL2 Fan Fiction Writer's Wet Dream

Hey, I remember that the Police chief wanted one of those here. Sounds awesome.

Of course, the term "Acoustic Cannon" didn't sit very well with politicians and human rights activists (read: commies).

imo permanent damage in the Middle-Ear is a bit of an extreme way to move protesters along.

Lol yeah, I suppose so. Still, I like the automated warnings. We have a female voice though, but it's pre recorded and not synthesized.

Yikes, I hope they don't get into the Eye for an Eye mentality. D:
