Sp+mp?!?!

I was scrolling the forums and someone had a poll about what version of HL2 you would buy.

Now I not sure if he was just doing it to see what people would buy "IF" valve released diffrent ones.
But in anycase he had SP+MP as one meaning "single player and multiplayer version".
A few people said they wanted this version and its got me thinking.
Are valve releasing a SP version only and a SP+MP or something?
As everywhere I have gone to buy it (UK) its just Half-Life 2..?

Am I missing something?

I pre-orderd mine from gameplay.com and it was just Half-Life 2.

Did not mention nowt if its SP or MP.. anyway most FPS like HL1 have SP+MP all togeather.. it makes sense..


Anyone shed some light please?

yes, there are various versions, SP only, SP+MP, collectors, steam, xbox, etc.

You most likely pre-ordered SP+MP unless you pre-ordered in a Walmart store.

Yes, there is a Single Player only version. This will be cheaper than the "traditional version".

But this seems to be only available in the US. Someone from Gameplay.co.uk has already confirmed that they'll only be selling the SP+MP version.

in america, valve is releasing a value version, which is singleplayer only, for like department stores, they are also releasing the normal version which allows for multiplayer and mods, and finally are releasing a special edition one that is supposed to include extras.

well i preordered from EB games and these bastards still think the release date is november so i cant get them to tell me what version i preordered. Everytime i try to tell them that its actually september 30, they just go "Uhhh, check back later" cause they are ****ing nub bitches.
