SP2? Working for you?

I wanted to know how many people have problems with SP2. I downloaded it ages ago, most of my games wouldn't work, the internet wouldn't work and the computer ran really slow. SO I removed it and everything went back to normal. What are your experiences?

Lol, i couldnt even get it to install XD
It took like 20 minutes to try to install, then it came up with some bs warning like: "SP2 did no fully install, you're comp might never work properly again, oops"
Then it took another 20 minutes to uninstall itself -_-

No problems with SP2 here. That being said, MS is the devil.

I downloaded it, has worked fine for me, no problems what so ever, I only downloaded it directly after I reformated my comp tho, but haven't had any problems with it..

I downloaded it and it thaught that Steam was a serious security threat :|

Other than that, no problems.

Downloaded it, ran fine for a few hours...then it started saying my router was offline, kept trying to reconnect it, even when there was nothing wrong with it. Whenever SP2 would actually shut up about it and claim that my internet connection was turned off, I was able to use the internet again...

...for about fifteen seconds, then it'd start bitching about my router again. Tried fixing it myself, then called my ISP's tech support line; they referred me to Microsoft's SP2 tech support line, which I waited on hold for about 20 minutes. That's when they hung up on me.

SP2 is stupid and evil.

The only updates I have are four files that fix the rpc shutdown exploit, and also I have .NET framework...other than that, Microsoft can go to hell.

I honestly don't care about updates anymore, mainly because I can't trust Microsoft anyways. Although I don't really know much about these updates either, I thought sp2 was out a long, long time ago; I was wrong.

works fine for me, installed it on a 6 months old xp installation.

the only thing that I did was disabling the built-in firewall. it's crap and can cause some serious mess. I wonder if those problems that Darkside55 had weren't caused by the firewall feature.

microsoft is maybe not entirely gay, but seeing ballmer dancing and screaming I say that some of them are definitely mentally chalenged...
