After having played with most of the physics entities, over the past few days, I've come to wonder why they seem so... spastic. Eg. standing on a board laying on the ground causes the player to "stick" to the entity somewhat, making walking extremely awkward. Also, shooting physically simulated objects causes them to inch their way towards the player (assuming they're not ultra-heavy). Bizarre.

Is this because we don't have access to the "full" physics subsystem (if that's even the case -- I really don't know)? Or is it just limited in this way :(?

Thanks for any information.

Spack attack physics , its fun on low gravity just watching those source players spack out , if u kill someone near a locker on low gravs they spack out on the filing cabinet and fall on the floor having a fit rofl

There's an option box [x] Shooting Doesn't Cause Movement or something like that... I think I remember seeing it when i tied my entertainment center to physbox or something.. sorry i'm not more help... grass.

Noticed that. Still, I'd expect that if I shot something laying on the ground, if it moved at all, it would move away from me, generally.

thats just with CSS
Are you sure? I know there's a prop_physics_multiplayer, which, in the de_cbble example map, is used for barrels and whatnot. I thought the rest of it was the "full-fledged" physics subsystem. Anyways, I hope you're right.

Thanks for the replies!
