Since I got a new computer, my speakers have been making this weird humming noise when the volume is turned up. To fix this, i plugged my old ones in and it seemed to work, except I can only hear stuff from itunes, nothing from a web browser.....so i plugged them into a differnt jack, and I can hear both itunes and stuff in the browser, but the humming sound is back......

I believe i have an intergrated sound card but that shouldnt cause that prob

I know this is a very bad explanation but if this is an esy fix, lemme know

So... what are your speakers connected to when it's humming? What's the jack/port? (line-out etc)

Also, how close are the speakers to each other or any other electrical equipment?

EDIT: Sorry, this is all I got at the mo D:

its odd, i have 6 input jacks, then one that makes it hum is "REAR" and the one that works with only itunes is "REAR SPK"

the rest dont give me audio

Do you mean output jacks there?

im not even sure.....i know for a fact that my sound card is integrated so i think that might be the reason.......i cant understand why music works and sounds from a browser wont.... bahhhh

Integrated sound card = teh poop!
I've got a XPS but I've only got an integrated card in there :(
Try upgrading your drivers if you dont plan on getting a new sound card
