I need a bit of help with my speakers. Because of the way my speakers are set up on my desk, they are the wrong way around. I cannot simply swap them around because the wires are not long enough to accommodate this. I need to know if there is an option in Windows to invert the sounds coming out of the speakers. I have been playing mostly RTS games recently so I only noticed today when I gave one of my brother's FPSs a try. I can't believe he didn't notice; it is one of the more disorienting gaming experiences that I've had. I tried a variety of games all with the same result: sounds coming out of the wrong speaker.

I cannot simply switch the position of the speakers. I also cannot unplug the input wires for each speaker (they are fixed in place) and switch them. What should I do?

(I think this is the first thread I've ever made)

I suppose that is an option (assuming that it will actually work), but I'm pretty hesitant to try it. In any case I'm sure I'd duff it up somehow.

It's surprising how hard it is to find a simple app to switch the left and right audio channels, I've given up.

Do you use a Creative audio driver/card? If so you might be able to use this kX thing: http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1

I have no idea what it is, I just came across it in some random thread about the same thing you're trying to do.
