Sooooo. What do you think we'll see?
Personally I think if Battlefield 1942 and Farcry were to have a child, it'd be TF2. But with TFC classes and using the Source engine.
I think the mission/game types will be the same as TFC but using much larger areas. I think driveable and flyable vehicles will play a large part of the game and may even require a special class for pilots. If that's the case I think I might really enjoy being a pilot.
Personally I love playing in a support role. Either as an engineer or a medic. I loved Renegades mod for Tribes 1 because there was so much to do as an engineer. Build defensive structures for your teleporters and other crucial locations and then placing offensive & defensive turrets. I hope TF2 has a lot more variety as to what you can do with an engineer. I'm still in shock they've added teleporters to TFC!
