i found this post on another forum and tried out these settings and noticed a difference so i am sharing it with u guys :)

might wanna write down the original settings in case it doesn't work for u or whatever.. anyway it worked for me.

From PCMag.com:



In the address bar of Firefox, type about:config

Stare in wonder.

Filter for pipe. Update as follows:

network.http.pipelining = TRUE
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 32
network.http.proxy.pipelining = TRUE


Right click.

create a new INTEGER value.
Preference Name: nglayout.initialpaint.delay
Value = 0


Done!
 
yeh, there have been threads about the top three in borth HW/SW and off topic forums before, however they are still good tips.

The bottom one isnt recomended as the delay is there for a reason as its best for more content to be downloaded before the browser starts rendering it.

I'd say this was old news, but as Sidewinder only posted it recently its hardly old :p
 
It's been said this brakes TCP rules or something.
 
hmm.. didn't see any threads here about this.
well anyway it looks like some pple missed it so its all cool.
 
How exactly is it faster now? I tried... and feel some speed now... but... :) I don't know...
