Ok, i got these 5.1 headphones today and they came very nicely packaged and i thought i was in for a treat.

Set them all up correctly and give them a test in BF2 and CS:S.

Firstly the centre sounds play out of the left hand speaker, the front and rear right are quieter than the left. And as far as i can tell the vibrations only come out when they are comming from the right.

Does anyone else have these headphones and could let me know if theirs are the same? I hope it's some silly mistake i've made and can be fixed with some caliberation or something.

Thanks.

I assume you're using the utlity that comes with it to check the sounds, mine all work as they're supposed to. I didn't have to change anything to get that either so it may be a problem with your set.

Are you using the ones that depend on the PC's sound card or the ones that have their own?

I'm using the one that have an amplifyer which connects to the sound card. You then connect the speakers and headset to the amp.

I don't think i got any software with mine... didn't see any :/

Check to make sure that you have both the windows settings and CSS/Bf2 settings on 5.1 (change them to Headphones if that doesn't work).

all the settings are correct. I think its the headphones themselves that the problem maybe.

Upon messing about with the headphone controls i found that the front centre channel plays out of the left headphone clearly. The front sounds are comming out of the left speakers clearly, but the right speakers very quietly. The rear sounds play correctly. and the sub-woofer (vibration) play very quietly at the front right speakers and clearly at the back right and left.

I guess i've wired it up wrong. Going to go back and wire it up from the begining see if that helps. I'll let you know. Thanks for the help.

Turns out i wired them up wrong... :|
