Spider-Man 3 Villains confirmed!

A scrawny kid with a squeaky voice as Venom? I guess this won't be the Venom that I'm used to seeing and hearing in the Capcom fighting games.
 
hmmm... this'll be interesting.... glad to see Venom's in it though, that means we get to see Spidey in the Symbiote suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111oneoneonee

Venom is a good choice as a villian because he is one of the few who finds out Spider-man's secret identity.


I'm not so sure about Sandman though. Would it be possible to keep him within reality? I mean, we're talking about a guy made out of sand.
 
lol, well, in Spiderman 1 and 2, Doc Oc and the Green Goblin both find out Spiderman's identity.

Keep him within reality with the man who was bitten by a radioactive spider so now he has super spider powers and an alien suit that attaches itself to it's host and can transform into a coat, that kind of reality? :smoking:

I can't wait to see the cgi for Sandman.
 
^^ that would make more sense. topher grace is way too skinny, even if he did bulk up a bit, he's no Venom.
 
Why don't we just wait until the movie comes out to find out for sure....i mean 2007 isnt that far away :p

looks like they are trying to rewrite eddie brock/venom as being someone who started off as as a skinny nobody like peter parker who was given amazing power, but instead turned to evil.

Looks like they are tossing away big ole weight lifting asshole eddie brock out.
 
Who played the astronaut in the last one? I figured they were gonna do some consolidating and maybe make him venom.
 
I quite liked Venom :(

Brock's meant to be 6'4", isn't he? Or something suitably big and bulky so even when "normal" he was larger than Parker...

That was Jameson's son. He eventually becomes Man-Wolf or something of the like.

Maybe Topher put on 50lbs of muscle? I guess you can see a greater transformation from puny Eddie to muscle bound Venom, makes it more dynamic. Doesn't the suit have to do mainly with the mental state of the host?

uh, when does that happen? I only know of Kasady getting part of the symbiote that was left behind by Venom.
 
im not nearly as excited about hearing Venom as a villian for the next Spiderman movie.
don't get me wrong here, i too want to see Venom but im afraid hollywood isn't going to do enough justice to the character especially if theres going to be another villian or two :|
i feel there just won't be enough time for Venom if theres more villians in the next Spiderman...and well i don't know about most of u here..but i feel that Venom deserves a movie as Spiderman's villian only villian... whether that be the next Spiderman movie.. or one down the road some time.

I agree and hope this one ends with the setup for Venom in the next. Maybe have Peter find the symbiote suit and near the end it joins with Eddie.

hopefully but at this point, hollywood's track record isn't too great at making good movies...especially when going from comics/games to movies :(

basically what ur hoping for here is that the director spins the kind of magic that was seen in the new Batman movie of this past summer...the odds are against us Spiderman fans tho :|

umm didnt spiderman get his alien suit in that mini series Secret wars from the 80's? I guess they just did the Marvel time-honoured tradition of changing character's origins every few years ...I always thought the alien suit thingy was stupid
 
Venom = best villain ever. I can't wait!
 
The Spiderman movies have been some of the best comic movies ever done so far. So I'm hopeful no matter what.

I don't know the whole story, but Kasady gets locked up, and somehow carnage reappears. It ends up being John Jameson.
 
I think Venom should play the bigger villain in this movie. He should be the one that eliminates the Sandman (since he does just that in the link that True Canadian posted). He is too big of a villain in the Spiderman world IMO and everyone has been waiting for this ****er.

Sandman is kinda stupid.

For some reason, I think this isn't going to be entertaining. Spider Man 2 wasn't good to me IMO.
