Spin

Wow. That was really well-made.

It really surprised me that Clinton used the DOD to monitor all these feeds during his campaign. Seems mighty shifty of him (though I still think he's one of the best presidents America has ever had).

I agree, I thought it was very good. The filmmaker didn't really say too much, just showed what he found and let you fill in the rest.

Yeah, I happen to like Clinton as well, but I can imagine you'll find things like this in every president utilizing the media as a tool for their political agendas.

Clinton's administration's policies provided the backdrop for the Patriot Act. During his administration, there was a significant push to circumvent the FISA warrant system. It is from this precedent that a lot of the Patriot Act's wiretapping and search clauses come from. His administration also saw the largest rise in corporate power since the Rockafellers. Occidental Petroleum, of which Al Gore had significant shares in, was able to receive no-bid contracts for gas, oil and minerals throughout the contigious 48.

Clinton also committed several illegal acts of aggression. He launched missiles against a "weapons" factory in Sudan with almost no evidence of any wrong doing (it turned out to be a pharmacy), sent Rangers to "assist UNICEF distribution", but ended up participating in Black Ops, bombed Iraq pretty much for the **** of it.

Clinton was a masterful PR person, that was it. He made the shit shoveled down your throat taste like cherries. The real differences between him and GWB are mainly on the PR front. GWB can't put out a good spin to the majority of people, whereas Clinton could. GWB is also a bit more blatant about his policies. Clinton tended to shield them with scandals (Monica, propety dealings, questionable pardons).

You forgot how Clinton most likely is capable of dressing himself and tying his shoelaces.

I'll look into it.
