Spirited Away

Has anyone else watched this film? It's totally awesome, definitely the best "cartoon" film I have ever seen. Pity I couldn't find the DVD, so I had to watch the English dubbed VCD.

Anybody I know who has seen it has never watched it sober. They all dropped acid before they went into the theatres. They then reported to me that it's the scariest ****ing film they've ever seen.

I don't care for anime, so I won't bother seeing it unless I get my hands on some LSD.

Its actually nothing like anime at all.

Which is weird. The only resemblance it has to anime is that actual visual aspect of the film. Everything else is totally, completely original and unique. No angsty teens or giant robots to be seen here.

Totally awesome film. The only film that all my friends agree on as, and i quote "unbelievably awesome"

I guess what I meant was the visual style. It just doesn't "click" with me. I've heard a lot of people say it's great, but such comments mean nothing to me and don't really inspire much incentive to see it.

Yeah, I own a copy too. Its a great, great film. And Lilo (Daveigh Chase) voices the main character even!

Howl's Moving Castle was great too.
