I've always thought it was unfair for some people that want to keep the game's details a surprise until they play it, but to be spoiled when they click a thread revealing key assets.

It's a neat idea, censor the posts black or something else, then click it to show the post, or anything else.

Oh yes, they seem to have disappeared. Bizarre.

You can't spoiler tag actual topic titles, though, which is vaguely depressing.

I mean, you couldn't. Obviously now you can't spoiler tag anything.

So just put spoilers "Spoilers alert, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Spoilers" or "Spoilers alert, Episode 2 screenshot thread."

It's just that using bold, size 7 fonts is quite annoying. I want something as simple (I am sure alot do also) as:
text here

Huh, did I miss something? Was it added when I wasn't here, during my absense?

I hate to sound like Shasta, but when he was whining about how people would put spoilers in the actual title... he was right. It's pissy.

We had spoiler tags before, but Munro pwned them somehow.

Spoiler tags were awesome, blacked out text... hover over them to reveal it.

Why they were removed is beyond me, probably an accident when they were updating the forums.

I don't think we had the hovering feature. It had to be highlighted. Which is much better imo.

Hovering is a fairly retarded feature. They did infact have to be highlighted.

Oh, my bad... maybe I was thinking of another forum.

Not only does it prevent people from accidentally hovering their mouse over the text, but a user reading it can read only a bit at a time if he wants to.

But even still, would some people even bother using them? Spoiling it for the rest.

Yes, spoilers are used by users who have seen, say, the latest episode of something and they want to discuss it with someone else who has also seen said latest episode. Just take a look at the latest Lost and Prison Break season topics.

I, personally, find it hard to stop myself reading spoilers when they are in plain view but just a little further away from the original text, and sometimes when you load up a topic it takes you straight to the last post, and the first thing you may see is ''I can't believe so-and-so is dead!'' and that's not very nice.

Bring back spoiler tags!

I also encourage returning spoiler tags, handy little feature to have, especially with more episodes on the way, the general games chat forum etc.

There should be a feature that allows you to highlight text in any colour (And can be used as a spoiler-thingy by making the text and highlight the same colour). Just an idea I stole from some other forum.

Dudes, we've got sections for just this reason now, don't we?

Maybe we could type text in the same colour as the background, then people would have to highlight it to read. One of these should be roughly the same colour:

If there isn't one hard enough to read, maybe Munro could add one using his Noodly Apendage.

Changing the text colour would have worked if there wasn't two different forum skins.

We could do it this way for the time being:

Code:
I'm a spoiler!!

It takes up a lot of space, but it hides text well enough. :p

You all know how long 'today' is in my world though :p

Again, in your world ;)

So, this ok?

Doh, I have to enable the script blocker for the button to work. Oh well. :)

LMFAO this is awesome.

Bwahaha, neat. The audio still plays when you close it.

Nice desk, what is it? Can't see from here...
Was fiddling with a 44 Channel Audio desk today, we've got 20 wireless mics and other pick ups.
Why didn't I choose Sound, we only move shit in staging
