Squid with elbows

You're now reading "magnapinna" as "mangina."

Also, that squid has a head design similar to an alien queen. We're all ****ed now.

This is why I will never go down deep in the water. Not even like 10m. It ain't happenin'

Just take a pulse rifle with you and the ocean floor should be safe enough.

I believe this was already posted before, but I still stand by my original conviction.

If we were really meant to explore the ocean, we'd find ****ing care bears at the bottom of the sea floor. Not this shit.

Zombieturtle posted this before... and I saw the squid in a textbook from the seventies or eighties.

Old. They are not as big as they look btw.

yeah, they're only like twenty feet long I think

i was really pissed when those jap scientists took the first photos of a live giant squid, by attaching a temporary cord to a whale. i said for years before, TAPE A CAMERA TO THE WHALE DIPSHITS,
and when they finally did, everyone went ' oh so clever'.

it was my idea.

You haven't stopped to think that there might be other reasons it took a while for them to do other than coming up with the idea?
Funding? Practical issues?

Nah, you just know better than the scientists.

Eejit, this is HL2.net, we have the most brilliant minds available.

Scientists ain't got nothin on ussss.

i understand that it takes time and all that, but to me it seems kinda obvious, if you want to see what the animal sees, and how it lives, tie a camera to to its head.
but fair enough, i see where youre coming from.

Pfft, I posted this same article a while back, and it's creepy as ****!

More seafood delicacies for them crazy azns. Of course the mofo will depressurize or something.

?

Do you mean Duct Tape?

Um , yeah. God knows what I was thinking.

Edit : I think I may have been thinking about a specific brand of duct tape a shop near me sells.

Edit edit : or not
Duct tape (sometimes referred to as "duck tape") usually has a fabric backing and many uses, but is mainly used by people needing to tear tape by hand.

My initial reaction was:

"STRIIIIIIDERRRRRRRRRRRRR"

Theres some damn creepy shit down at the bottom of the ocean D:

just over a week ago i was spearfishing, and this huge f***ing lump appeared in the
distance, i was like holy cow theres a humongous shark that wants to cannibalize me,
and swam the 100m back to the boat in record time. after id managed to calm down,
it was pointed out to me that it was only a whale. i almost had a bloody heart attack cos of that f-ing whale.
:frown:

Still, if I was in the ocean and saw a whale next to me I'd be pretty scared still, just because of the sheer size of the thing, even though I know it probably wouldn't hurt me.

<3 whales.

I don't remember who it was but some scientists basically went to a hotspot of killer whale activity and lowered a camera hundreds/thousands of feet where giant squids are known to live.

They actually got footage of it too. Albeit it was about 5 frames per second, it was still quite amazing. The squid got tangled up in the cord and it took around an hour until it freed itself, leaving a tentacle behind :(
