Where is that stairs model? Like in NovaProspect... Those stairs made of iron(?). I mean... when you walk to 2nd floor, you get to the "command center" where alyx came from vent in ceiling in singleplayer...

Most stairs are made of brushes. Im not certain of the stairs you are talking about but chances are they are brushes or are somewhere in the models folder under combine or wasteland.

Check the HL2 Prefabs folder, the stairs in there are untextured but you can assign whatever stair textures you want, and then save multiple versions for later use.

Or you could learn to make stairs without a prefab. Y'know, the real way. :P

I just recently had to make my own set of stairs, just do it once and prefab it. oh and gernally you should func_detail it too

Wasting time is not my idea of "the real way".

it doesn't take that long, make one step, copy it, copy both of those and so on until you're done.

You could just open up the sample lockdown map and copy and paste the stairs. Thats what I did.

Using a prefab takes 3 clicks.

Three clicks to open the box tool and draw a box, three clicks to find the prefab, then the countless clicks involved in reshaping and retexturing the prefab to make proper stairs, because there's no way the prefab stairs cover all scenarios...

1 click to open the prefab, 1 click to select the stairs, and 1 click (and a drag) to create it.

ffs, why the hell are we arguing?
