So let me get this straight... You bow to a Saudi-statesman, who represents a regime that bowed-to a group of bullies in a rubber-raft by dropping 10-mill from a chopper into the Gulf Of Aden ?

The Saudi's considerable U.S. real-estate holdings should merit a discreet bow in a private room out of camera-shot, if you feel that way inclined.

On second-thought, no president of any country should bow-to a president of any other country. Adults generally shake-hands...

Saudi arabia have done far worse than giving into the demands to a group of pirates. Hell my countries done that.

what does this have to do with the president? those two events are completely unrelated. saudi arabia is guilty of far worse transgressions than negotiating with pirates.

the US has a closet full of skeletons in it's many dealings with saudi arabia, bowing to the leader of a repressive fundamentalist regime is the least of them

It's just misunderstood old world protocol if you ask me. You bow to a king. That is just the way it is. Plus the right wing is being a bunch of hypocrites since Bush jr. went all gay with the Saudi's, as the Wonkette made very clear.
 
What's the problem it's simply protocol like Shakermaker said. Obama is trying to win over the Muslim countries and following their traditions and protocol helps big time.
Also the Saudis had their hands tied with the pirates. They had a muliti-million dollar fuel tanker with foreign nationals what could they do? They had to pay the ransom and 10 million is nothing compared to the worth of the tanker and the deaths of foreign workers on board.
And i'm sure we Brits also paid off the pirates when they hi-jacked one of our ships .Britain used to have the most powerful Navy in the world and real force to be reckon with, yet were beaten by a bunch a pirates.
 
Bowing to them doesn't mean he takes it up the ass for them...
