anyone play this? I have downloaded the 10 day trial and am complately lost and am just running around in circles..

I bought it and was pretty much the same for the entire month trial until someone told me the basics of the game, which totally didn't appeal to me.

You weren't alone. But didn't they have a tutorial?

1) Use the map. It helps you get to large cities.
2) Wander around the city until you find someone who's giving away all his/her items and cash because he/she is leaving the game. Take said items and cash.
3) Cause havoc with newly acquired items and cash.
4) Play a game that possesses elements of fun.

I played SWG for three months. I was also in the final beta. It's not that great... My friends quit the game after the first month, but I kept on for another tedious two.

Go buy world of warctaft. It's about 1,000,000,000,000 times better than SWG. I played the trial of SWG and hated it- but WOW is a different story...

I thought the SWG trial was horrible. I ran for 45 minutes straight to get to a city, to find that the quest was broken. And people actually pay $15 a month for this?

Yep. It's sad, so many things were broken by the time I quit.

I played SWG for 8 months :/

Now im on WoW, much better.

I was thinking of trying it out but the first file was 2 GB!..I get 100mbit in February i might get it then...

I bought it after it had been out for a while, but I got given a dodgy CD-Key/reg code that didn't work. Got a lot of crap from technical support. Then I played the trial and was glad that I got given a dodgy key. Never want to play it ever again...
