Star Wars Gets Two TV Shows

If only one of them is good, I hope it's the life action one. We already have the clone wars series on cartoon network. I have given it some thought. What point of view would you like to see the live action series told from? Personally, I'm getting tired of the super serious Jedi plots. I would love to see a live action Star Wars series centered around a Han Solo type of character. I think it would bring some much-needed (good) humor back to the series. Of course the character would have interaction with Jedis, the Sith, etc., but it would be cool to get away from the Jedis as the main storyline. What do you think?

They say the live action one is going to be based on secondary characters from Episode III, so I think there may be a good chance of them doing just that. :D

Hmm, not sure what to make of this.

A part of me still thinks the films should have been left with the original trilogy, but I have accepted the prequels.

I also love the novels, games and whatever other things continue the universe.

Perhaps I'll moan about Lucas leaving it with the films for a while, but I might come round to it.

I think we've seen the best of what Stars Wars can be, and we've seen the worst. And since we can't put the genie back in the bottle and unmake all the stuff thats been done, we might as well take advantage of it.

yeah starwars tv shows can either be really good or really bad just have to wait but sounds good worht checking out, and i have seen some anime of starwars thats decent so i guess wait and see :)

They sure do know how to run a great franchise into the ground.

/me reminds everyone of a little show called Star Trek.

CG is okay.... not great, but okay. Personally, with today's special effect, there's no reason at all why there can't be a live action Star Wars TV series. None at all. In my opinion, the primary lure of using purely CGI is the fact you save money on sets, costumes, production personnel and extras, among other things.

Unless the show is going to be approaching the visual caliber of the Final Fantasy movie, I would say in large part that it's not as satisfying. And more likely it will be closer to the Roughneck Chronicles.

Despite not liking Star Trek Enterprise, I think that the visual quality is great. And there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with having a Star Wars TV Series with that kind of special effects.

I'd welcome the touch of real actors.

Thats why they're making one with real actors.
I do think the CGI one might have more potential. It lets them do absoulte insane things in the way of action and sets that you'd never be able to pull off in live action due to money and other issues. Plus they never have to worry about the effects not looking "real."

Shows will probably be pretty bad seeing how the recent movies blow. But I don't know, maybe they could pull it off. If so, it would make me happy and that is good.

/me wants a Han Solo miniseries. Badly.

Oh noes! Teh bigg3st movie franchise in history is getting diluted down even more into what no doubt will be a piss poor TV show!

IMO (episode 3 aside (jury still out on that one till mid May)) Star Wars ended in 1983...
