Mmm, I've always enjoyed the backstories of the Old Republic era, so I found it pretty interesting.

I'm just skeptical about the game itself, being an MMO and whatnot.

So they've set it at a time when players can hapily go about slaughtering all manner of good and bad dudes with no real consiquence and the plot cannot move foreward in any significant way from player influence.

How very original for an MMO.

Also, why no mention of the Jedi Exile?

Why not? MMO's can have linear storylines without affecting the open endedness of the rest of the game and vice versa. You get to partake in it like in a singleplayer game.
Just because the world is open ended doesn't mean that your actions have to have an impact on the games main storyline.

Anyway, if they get some good writers on board and if the game turns out be as half decent as Pre NGE SWG, i may give it a whirl.
