So, I've got the interest to draw comics, a sketchbook, and a uniball pen.

I draw, and draw, but am quite lost in what to draw.
I have ideas what to draw, but I can't draw well enough to draw what I 'invision'.

Anyone got suggest for drawing exercises to do to help praticing up for drawing comics. (If you want to know what kind of style, look at web comics like Extralife, Penny Arcade, VG Cats, all those kind of good things)

just practice, that's really all there is to it

The practicing of drawing stuff I really don't want to, is the part that bores me to death.

The idea of just sitting down and drawing what I want sounds awesome though... Just doesn't quite work that easily

Oh, you mean the kind that are overdone to hell?

Heheh. Sad but true.

Anyway, webcomics take a shitload of commitment, and it doesn't look like you're ready for something like that based on your posts :p

Aye, I lack the motivation. I want to do it, but I don't quite want to take the time to learn.

Aye, I know they are overdone, but meh, they look pwerrty

Obsession is the key...not kidding. I do action figure customizing on other forums and one day back in June of this year decided to give scuplting a try. Less than two months later I had people wanting to buy some of the parts I sculpted.
The point here is not that I am talented... I am stubborn and was obsessed with learning to sculpt and kept torturing myself to improve, improve improve!
If you have a dream of drawing web comics the key is to want it bad enough and be horribly stubborn.

here's a tip, don't post stuff like "Anyone got suggest for drawing exercises to do to help praticing up for drawing comics."

And then post stuff like "The practicing of drawing stuff I really don't want to, is the part that bores me to death."

...no.. just no

You just took my own words and back hand slapped me
D:

Either way, the problem is motivation. So I'll just do what Straxus said
