Starting XSI

I am just beginning to learn how to use XSI and I was wondering where I should start. I want to get good enough to make models for Half-Life 2 so give me some tips and pointers to get me headed in a good direction... By the way, I am totally new to modelling all together, so this is a massive learning experience for me!

it covers box modelling, and a littl bit of spline modelling...
