OK at the top of the TAB screen it says

Players Score Deaths Ping

SCORE. SCORE. SCORE!!!!!! not kills!! the game is about getting your team points and wining the round for your team not staying around waiting for people to walk by so you can get a extra kill. Plant the bomb or defuse the bomb to get 3 more points added to your score!

I agree it is a team game if you want kills you should just stick with HL2 DM in DM mode of the game.
