static on moniters?

can any one tell me if it is possible to have static on moniters?

I hope so. I want to make a battery-powered TV, so when you pull it out, you're only breaking the cable line and not the power supply.

Seems like all you'd have to do is make an animated texture.

Have two cameras.

Your tv monitor will use a no-noise screen monitor texture. The image it sees will be from camera one. All's well. Camera two looks at a monitor noise texture way off by itself. Trigger the switch, it should look ok.
